Intimate Sunrise Wedding // Shenandoah National Park, VA // Meg + David

Meg and David met in high school and dated for a few months before they fell out of touch. They found each other again when David was in the Navy and Meg was a senior in college. They rekindled a long-distance friendship over a shared love of Tolkien, travel, great food, and outdoor adventures. After 6 years of togetherness, they tied the knot at an intimate Shenandoah National Park wedding on Skyline Drive.

There were so many things I loved about Meg + David’s wedding. I wish I could clone them and have clients like them over and over again. Their genuine connection was inspiring, and I loved how they poured so much thought and love into every detail of their day.

Meg wore her mom’s wedding dress, and David wore a bracelet to remember his brother. They exchanged their heartfelt, personal vows as they stood barefoot to feel more grounded and present at their intimate wedding ceremony. Their friends played music and the entire group of guests sang songs. It was all insanely beautiful, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture Meg and David’s amazing wedding day.

(Also, I’m so obsessed with their hand-crafted their wedding invitations! How crafty are they?!)

Congratulations to Meg + David!
